Rental Policy

 

In an effort to better serve you, here are the terms of rental. Make sure to read the rental policy below and know your responsibility for the equipment you have rented. If you should need clarification of the cancellation policy, please do so prior to making payment as the 25% cancellation fee automatically comes off your payment once the order is placed.

 

· RENTAL RATES

A 25% of your quote/invoice deposit is required when the order is placed in order to reserve the rental items for you. The remaining balance is due payable, in full, on or prior to 14 days prior before pick up. The security deposit is refunded upon return of the rented items, on time and in the same condition it was rented.   Payment in full can also be made at any time to reserve your item.  We recommend booking as soon as possible to reserve your date and avoid disappointment.  Payments can be made by cash (in person by appointment) or email transfer.  Quotes, invoices and/or receipts will be emailed to you. Email transfers are sent directly to oohlalapartyrentals@hotmail.com.   Rates are subject to change, however, once an order has been placed and we receive your 25% deposit, your rental rate is guaranteed at that rate. If payment has not been made on or prior to 14 days prior to pick up, your rental will be cancelled and you will lose your upfront deposit. Security deposit amounts will be included in your quote.

· AVAILABILITY

While we have a growing inventory, reservations are recommended in order to avoid disappointment and to guarantee the items you want, especially on items that are in high demand. 

 

· DELIVERIES…At this time, we do not offer delivery.  

 

· CANCELLATION POLICY

Rental reservations require either a 25% deposit or payment in full.  This places the order and reserves the rental items just for you.   If you should cancel at any time after you have made a payment,  there is an automatic 25% cancellation fee deducted  from your refund. If you should cancel within 48 hours notice, you will lose 100% of your payment minus your security deposit. Please note that if the remaining  balance of your order + HST + security deposit is not received  prior to 14 days before pick up, your reservation will be considered cancelled and you will lose your 25% deposit.

 

 FOR NATURAL WOOD RENTAL ITEMS: Our no refund policy does not apply to natural wood items such as our cupcake stands, arches and wood slabs. With hot and cold fluctuations, the wood tends to crack and the bark may fall off wood items. We recommend contacting us approximately 2 weeks prior to your event to make sure you are satisfied with the existing condition of your rental item. Should you not be satisfied, you may substitute for another like item  of equal or you may have a full refund on those particular wooden items.

 

· PICK UP/DROP OFF HOURS  

     Please arrange appointment times for rental pick up and drop off during the following times:

          Mondays 5:30-8pm

          Tuesdays CLOSED

          Wednesdays 5:30-8pm

          Thursdays 5:30-8pm

          Fridays 5:30-8pm

          Saturdays 10am-8pm

          Sundays 10am-8pm

Late rental returns will be charged a half-day rental rate for each day late. If the item is late and the item was rented out to the next customer, you will be charged double the rental fee as that customer has now lost out on their order, therefore, we ask that you are courteous and bring back items on time.

 

· VIEWING RENTAL ITEMS

You may view rental items in advance by appointment only during the hours above (See pick up/drop off hours).  

                                                                       

· RESPONSIBILITY

Once rental pick up has been made, the customer is responsible for the rentals.  The customer acknowledges that the rental property is of a size, design and capacity selected by the customer, and that Ooh La La Party Rental does not make any representation, warranty or covenant, express or implied, with respect to the condition, quality, suitability or durability  of the rental items. Ooh La La shall not be liable to the customer for any loss or damage caused directly or indirectly by the rental property, by any inadequacy thereof, or defect therein. The customer shall indemnify Ooh La La Party Rentals against any claim, action, damages and liability, including attorney’s fees, arising or connected with customer’s use and possession of the rental property.

 

· LOSS OR DAMAGE

Customer will use all property in a proper and careful manner, shall comply with all applicable laws & regulations. Customer hereby assumes all risk of loss and damage to the rental items from any cause whatsoever. We do charge for missing or damaged items.  The maximum charge would be the full cost of replacing the damaged item.

 

· CLEANING

You will receive all items clean and ready for use, and all packed for travel.  For health reasons, all food service rentals(ie. candy dishes, fountains), must be rinsed food free with hot water and packed in their original cartons prior to return. Additional charges will be imposed for packing, cartons and boxes not returned, & for cleaning of equipment returned dirty.
